Wes Anthony Hinote joined the First Baptist staff in September of 2005. He is the Youth Pastor. He and his wife Rhonda were married in August of 2004 and have one daughter, Cadence, who was born in July of 2007. Wes and Rhonda are very active in the church and love to be with the First Family. Before coming to First Baptist Church (FBC), Wes and Rhonda had both served on church staffs. Wes has served in youth ministry for six years and has also led congregations in worship. He even gets a chance to do that here now and then. Rhonda served as youth director for a couple years before they were married and has a heart for the young people of Bastrop as well.

Wes attended Community Christian School from third grade until his graduation from high school in 2000. He was an athlete, a musician, and a honor student there. He attended East Texas Baptist University which is where he met Rhonda Parker. He and Rhonda spent many days traveling to churches to lead Disciple Now weekends for the Baptist Student Ministry and playing with the band that Wes was the drummer for, 33seven. Wes transferred to Dallas Baptist to finish up his degree and to start seminary at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He graduated from Dallas Baptist in 2005 with a BA in Biblical Studies with emphasis on Youth Ministry and Contemporary Ministry. He is now currently pursuing his Masters of Theology at Southwestern.

Rhonda graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a BA in Speech Communications and then received her teaching certification from LeTourneau University in Longview, TX. She is a amateur photographer and loves taking senior pictures and family photos. She also loves to spend time with her family and with friends.

Wes enjoys all sports, especially golf and basketball, hunting, fishing, music, and his family. He enjoys stupid trivia and history. Wes likes all types of music, especially AudioA, Crowder, Leeland, NeedtoBreathe, and Daughtry. He enjoys playing his guitars, drums, piano, and can fool around on a few other instruments.

He and Rhonda are excited about First Baptist and even more excited about God and His plans for their ministry here in Bastrop.
