The Adult 2 Sunday School Department meets in the “Annex”---the portable building behind the main church building. Adult 2 ranges in age from 40 to 59. We have two co-ed classes that meet in the Annex; ages 40-49 and 50-59.
Gayla Hoffman is our Department Director---she is ably assisted by her husband Charlie. She enjoys a close relationship within her own family and has a desire that we build strong relationships within the church family as well. Growing up in a Southern Baptist Church and saved at an early age instilled in her the importance of Sunday School and the whole family being involved, and how it fosters a spiritual growth that is carried throughout one's life.
Stuart Baker teaches the co-ed class for ages 40-49. Stuart is the husband of Kathleen, father of three lovely daughters; Kaitlyn, Kassandra and Kamille. He is a "construction hand", and approaches the Scriptures with a "hands on" prospective.
Willy Wilson teaches the co-ed class for ages 50-59. In his freshman year of high school he "fell in love" with science, and began asking questions about science and faith. Well, he still loves science, and is employed as a research manager in the chemical industry. Along the way, he became convinced that the Bible is really true and that there is no ultimate conflict between science and the Bible. He and his wife Beth are enthusiastic about sharing the evidence for faith from science, history and philosophy.
